Garlic Mustard

Garlic Mustard Progress

This being a very early spring, garlic mustard growth has progressed much faster than normal.  The plants are already flowering in some parts of the county.

There is no designated garlic mustard drop-off site this season.  Waste haulers will accept bags labeled as invasive plant material.

Notice: The CWMA has Garlic Mustard Removal supply bins for any interested parties to rent out. Included in the bins are: garlic mustard identification cards, gloves, trash bags, weeding tools, site report forms, volunteer sign-in logs, and metal wire brushes to brush seeds off pants and clothes after workdays. Anyone interested in renting the bins can contact the conservation district to reserve it.

Please see the CWMA website for up-to-date information on Garlic Mustard eradication efforts.
